Just Diecast

My father is always doing everything for everyone else, so I decided to start a collection of Dale Earnhardt diecast cars for him. Since I shop on line I don't know the difference between 1:24, 1:32, or 1:18. Could some please explain.... Also if the discription of the car says "1 of 300" does that mean it's in higher value?
